Christmas Gift Cards

When you are unable to decide on an ideal gift for Christmas for a family member or friend, better settle on a Christmas gift certificate. They are trendy and user-friendly. I gift card is basically a gift certificate that works like a cash card. It is made of plastic with a magnetic strip, which the cashier swipes through the machine.

Virtually anything you can think of is available by gift certificate. This is possible because of a universal system of secure magnetic coding.

So, if you know your brother is into electronics, but you're not sure what he needs or wants, a gift certificate to an electronics store is the perfect gift. Clothes are hard to buy for anyone but yourself. If your sister's favorite store is the GAP, give her a gift certificate and let her go crazy. Mom might love coffee and tea or jewelry. Go to your local mall and get a gift certificate that can be used at any store in the mall.

Your mom can have coffee and her favorite ring.

Christmas gift certificates are a better option not only for retailers to increase their business but also easy for senders and receivers. Nine times out of ten, it won't be a gift that is packed away or given as a gift to someone else.

Tuscan Style Decorating Ideas

Earthy colors and natural materials are two basics for the "old world" style of decorating. To get an idea of the colors we're talking about, go for a walk outside and take notice of the beautiful colors around you, the blue sky, the golden sun, even the chocolate brown of mud in the springtime. Ok, so you don't have a view of the blue/green Mediterranean Sea but you've seen pictures of it haven't you? On that walk, stroll through the produce department of your local grocery store and note the dark purple eggplants, the red peppers, yellow lemons, green olives. These are some of the colors you'll want to consider for your Tuscany decorating. Natural materials will include wood (think rustic, sturdy type furniture), tile (colorful ceramic for wall accents) natural stone for flooring and unpolished metals such as copper, tin, or pewter for accents. You probably already have some Tuscan influences in your home.

Iron scrollwork brackets, terra cotta planters (more about these later),...

Men, Look Forward to Shaving

La Vita Body's line of all natural skin care products is offering men a new outlook for the morning shave.Seattle, WA -- 10/25/2004 -- Shaving was always just another one of those morning necessities -- until a friend gave me a sample of a new product by La Vita Body, Shave Cream For Men ? Ginger. The Shave Cream for Men label invites you to "Experience a close, comfortable shave with this rich, moisturizing cream. Plant extracts and vitamin B & E soothe and protect the skin from irritation, with coffee extract for added stimulation."The shiny cream has a swirly appearance that resembles a custom, pearlized paint job found on an expensive car. It's thick and creamy -- like a vanilla shake. It feels cool and invigorating. But for me, the best part of the experience was the aroma. Its distinctive, fresh, clean smell brought back childhood memories of going to the one-chair barbershop with my father.

I didn't know that you could bottle that smell, but it's a great sensation. It's amazing...

Winter - It's Not Over Yet

While reading the news on the Internet this morning I came across an article on that furry little groundhog, better know as Punxsutawney Phil. As happens every year at this time, the little fur-ball emerged from his burrow, as he's done since 1886 - wow, he must be really old by now ? to give us the updated winter forecast.Yes sports fans it's official, good old Phil saw his shadow, which means six more weeks of winter. Now your reaction to this news will vary depending on what part of the country you live in. Here in the Northeast, many of us ? this author included ? do not jump for joy.If you happen to be one of the winter sports people you know the ones who ski, ice skate, snowmobile etc. this was probably welcomed news. However, speaking strictly for myself ? and anyone else that might agree - the thought of having to continue going out into a cold morning and cleaning off my car or having to dress like I'm crossing the tundra just to take my dog out for a walk doesn't exactly excite...
